“It’s easy to be pessimistic; after all, pessimists are rarely disappointed. Optimism, on the other hand, is a form of bravery because we risk being disappointed. But optimism breeds good things.”

A friend of mine, Elizabeth Restivo de Munoz, posted this on her blog and wrote about how she’s always thought of herself as a positive person but really hasn’t been feeling that way lately. I too have been feeling this way. I have always been a happy, positive person, seeing the good in every situation and for some reason I have realized that I have been really low lately. Down on myself, lacking confidence, always worried and just missing that happiness that I’ve always felt and appreciating the simplest and smallest joys in life. Well no more, that Ashley doesn’t suit me and who I am and who I want to be. So I’m ridding myself of that attitude.

Have you ever met a just generally negative person? Well I have encountered two people like that in my life. Each time it took me a while to figure out they’re like that and that they are starting to bring me down (probably because of what I said earlier - always trying to see the good in every situation), but when I finally did figure it out, it’s like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and I refused to let that person’s negative attitude bring me down any longer.

Here’s to positive attitudes and appreciating and living life to the fullest!
